Compostable plastic bags for the vegetable counter
Our compostable plastic bags of the bioplastic Mater-Bi® are best suited for loose goods such as fruits and vegetables. In comparison to conventional plastic bags, bioplastic carrier bags are breathable and do not contain any softeners. Hence, the climate in the bags remains stable for a longer time. An independent study with comparable materials showed that most products stay fresh longer when kept in breathable bio carrier bags. In comparison to conventional plastic bags, they also had a lower germ load because the humid climate in usual PE bags causes a faster spoilage.
Bio plastic bags made of Mater-Bi®
Our biodegradable plastic bags are made of the bioplastic Mater-Bi®. Mater-Bi® belongs to a family of compostable bioplastics that are produced with renewable resources such as starch or plant oil. The manufacturer guarantees that the starch originates from non-genetically modified plants and that neither soya nor palm oil are used in the production. In addition, our biodegradable plastic bags (made of Mater-Bi®) are also biodegradable in the sea.
