Plastic cups for cold beverages
The plastic cold cups made of PLA may deform on excessive heat application. For this reason, these cups are only suitable for serving cold beverages with temperatures from -20°C to maximum 40°C.
Eco-friendly cold cups made from natural resources
Biodegradable cold cups do not consist of conventional plastics. They are made of the bioplastic polylactic acid (PLA). PLA is derived from corn starch, which is fermented by the aid of lactobacilli. All biodegradable cold cups in our range are petroleum-free. The production of PLA requires less energy and releases less CO2 than conventional polymers.
Compostable cold cups are free from softeners
Ecobiopack’s PLA cold cups are not only produced in an environmentally friendly manner, but also free from softeners and harmful substances that may migrate into the beverages. As a matter of course, PLA is food-safe and tasteless.
